Quarantine Skin Tips
Hey gorgeous girls and guys!
Obviously it's no secret that we are all quarantined. So I think it's a good time to share some advice on some things you can do for your skin while at home. There's a silver lining in this pandemic, because we have a lot of extra time to really give our skin the love it deserves.
TRYING NEW PRODUCTS
Now is the time to try new products! If you were ever curious about oil or retinol or a beauty balm, now is the perfect time to experiment and see how your skin does. If you get a little red or have a minor breakout no one will know. I’ve been going crazy with new products trying out everything while I have this time.
If new skincare products aren’t in the budget, try experimenting with things you have in the house like coconut oil or grape seed oil. Make a mask with avocado or honey. Pinterest is full of great at home skin care recipes that are fun and easy.
Wear a skincare mask during the day. I’ve been spending almost all my afternoons with a mask on my face because why not? I used to do a mask once a week but since I’m home I love trying different masks to give me an extra boost of moisture. Although, I don’t really think it’s necessary to do a mask everyday, it makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself and I’ll take that right now.
If you are experiencing a breakout please don’t try and fix it yourself. Leave it alone and remember one day hopefully soon you will be able to go to a professional who will fix it for you.
GOING THROUGH OLD PRODUCTS
Now is a great time to go through all your skin care and make-up and throw out the stuff that has expired. You'll be at surprised at how many old skincare and makeup- products you have.
SPEND EXTRA TIME ON YOUR SKIN
We all know that facials, laser and Botox treatments are not available, but I have found that It’s made me feel really proactive to pay special attention to my eyes, lips and neck by really layering on an oil, balm or moisturizer, in an effort to fight the aging process. These areas show signs of aging more quickly than other areas so it's important to give them some extra love
I'm always open to questions about anything skin related, so please let me know if you have any skin concerns or questions. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe during these crazy times!
